One of the products from Idea family is IdeaPad Y510. This is a family laptop which has adopted Intel Santa Rosa platform. Its screen diagonal width is 15,4 inches, weight around 2,9 kilograms. Its form still looks like Lenovo laptop 3000 although seen a few more luxuriant. Forgets about shine glossy body because this laptop covers particularly has rough texture like a woven cloth. But, the design still impressed beloved because its LCD screen is not mounted nattily. Of course it doesn’t provide back light keyboard.

While Lenovo is charting new territory with the look of the IdeaPads, the company hasn’t changed its signature sturdy construction. Like its predecessors, our evaluation model felt very solid, offering little flex in the screen lid. The keyboard has a good layout and excellent feel, while the touch pad is comfortable and its actuation buttons have a deep travel and satisfying click, making it a pleasure to use.

The lenovo ideapad Y510’s firm, responsive keyboard doesn’t bow to fingertip pressure–this is a good thing, since you don’t want your keyboard to dip as you type. The well-designed case has thick hinges that let you position the display at the best viewing angle. The laptop’s rock-solid construction extends to a hard carbon-textured display cover. It feels durable like its bigger brother, the ThinkPad.

The lenovo ideapad Y510 is based on the Intel’s “Santa Rosa” notebook platform, and comes with up to Intel Core 2 Duo T5550 processor at 1.83GHz. The Lenovo IdeaPad Y510 features the Intel Graphics Media Accelerator X3100, up to 250GB 5400rpm hard drive, 2GB of system memory expandable to 4GB, and a DVD burner. The notebook’s 15.4″ display has a WXGA 1280-by-800 resolution.

Then there’s the built-in webcam with VeriFace facial recognition, which is present on both models. The Y710 has Halo Lighting, which is side bezel and logo lighting, and can hot swap a secondary hard drive in. The lenovo ideapad Y510 has a projected LED battery life indicator, and a light weave texture on top. Both models have One Key recovery and battery management (don’t all laptops?). There are also Dolby Speakers (two main, two secondary and a sub). The 710 has a 17-inch LCD and the Y510 has a 15.4-inch LCD, and both have a 1.3 megapixel camera.

Lenovo is convinced, after personel computer is changes from business machine becomes entertainment device, design and style becomes really importance for customer. That’s why IdeaPad has very interesting design. For lenovo ideapad Y510 model, its cover is having texture like lawn, while U110 model present in aluminium cover with metallic red color. All model use Intel dual core chipset. The difference, Y710 is include the first laptop which using Intel Penryn Core 2 Duo T9300 (2,5 GHZ), while Y510 applies Intel Merom (Core 2 Duo T5550) chipset.
